Beautiful late summer day in early September
Sunday was foggy early, so I was waiting for it to clear off before I started mowing. Tom showed up at 8AM and we spent an hour getting caught up on life.
I finally got started mowing around 9:30AM while Tom got started on the foliar.
He finished before I did because I had to do up at the barn also. So he pulled all the flowers off the basil, and then harvested a bunch to take home. He also got some onions and other things.
I finally finished the mowing just after 1:30PM and went right in and got a shower while I still could.
I was pretty wiped out and just read for a while then watched Big Bang Theory until bedtime.
I’ve had New England asters for a couple decades. They were in the Fence gardens. Some years they were the purply-blue, some years the pink. They are a perennial so it was always the same plant, just different colors in different years.
This year they have grown in the wildflower area, and some of them are purply-blue and some are pink.
On Monday I’d hoped I’d be able to get out and mulch Row 6 in the New Herb garden but I was moving pretty slowly. I did manage to get laundry started. I had 3 appointments in the afternoon and just watched Big Bang Theory until bedtime.
On Tuesday I hope to do the mulching on Row 6 in the New Herb garden, but I have 2 appointments in the afternoon. I also need to clean up the kitchen. It’s to be another lovely day.
