On Thursday morning I was up at 5AM and got my post up. I made some breakfast and sat down for a while.
Next I got the laundry folded and put away and sat down for a while. Then I got set up and ironed all the linens that had been washed over the summer. I starch them all to help protect from stains. After that I needed another rest.
Next up, I cleaned the kitchen then I collected all the knickknacks needing washed and got them done and laid to dry.
After another rest, I started putting the shelves back up in the living room and cleaning it up. I got the plants moved back into the windows and eventually it was neat again.
I sat down to rest for a while and when I got up to make some lunch my helper friend arrived. He was early and sat down to eat his lunch. Once we were done we got started in the office.
He was tipping the chairs over and getting the cat hair off the underneath side. I was drying the washed knickknacks and getting them back in the bookcase. Then I sat down to dust the ones that didn’t get washed. They went back into the bookcase.
He was cleaning the small items while I polished the sad irons and washed the picture frames and polished them.
He ran the vacuum over the mess we’d made while I finished putting everything back.
I sent him on errands and I sat down to rest. My #1 intern arrived to hang out and we chatted a while. Once my helper friend came back, I got the shopping put away. He had picked up a movie from the library and my #1 intern sat and watched it with me.
We enjoyed it pretty much and then she headed home. I made supper, finished watching Fantasia from 1940 and then watched the wild food DVD I got at the tag sale on Saturday.
I went to bed about 8:30PM. It continued to rain as it had off and on all day.
On Friday my helper friend arrives at 8AM and we will be feeding the house plants. The rain will have stopped and I’m hoping I can finally get the netting off the Juneberry and on the clothesline to dry. Not sure what else we will do. I’m pretty worn out from this week.
