Sunday evening sunset

I was up at 4:15AM on Sunday morning. I had a lot of photos to edit and finally got the post up at 7:15AM. I closed the house up against the heat and went out to mow at 7:30AM.

I decided to try mowing at the barn first because the grass there was more dead than green. With the 1½” of rain we’d gotten on Saturday afternoon, the grass was saturated. It was mostly overcast so it wasn’t drying. It took me an hour to do the barn.

I got the push mower up to the house and got the trim done by 9:30AM. Then it was 2 hours of unplugging the chute every 2 passes. The humidity was really bad and I was having a lot of trouble breathing by the time I finished.

I had to rest for an hour before I could attempt a shower. But I had given myself plenty of rest time before I went to the classical concert at 2:15PM.

We got there a bit early. The artist above, Carol, was having a lot of trouble with the heat and ended up not being able to play.

The other 2 artists did their parts and they ended the concert early. I really liked the Arabesque by Dubussy.

It was pretty warm in the garden for the reception but I found it comfortable. I was home by 5PM and had left the AC going in the office due to the humidity.

At 5:20PM a protest far worse than those in Washington, DC was launched because dinner wasn’t being served 40 minutes early. He was tearing around and getting into things. After a half hour of this he finally realized I wasn’t feeding him one second before 6PM and settled down to wait. He’s such an abused animal…

I went to bed around 8:30PM. On Monday I have an appointment first thing in the morning. It’s supposed to be a gorgeous day, but I won’t be home until late, so going outside to gardens won’t happen. Tuesday is supposed to be nice also so I’ll try to get out then.
