On Tuesday morning I spent the morning collecting photos for the Memories post and just never got going after that. I got the sprinklers going when I got up at 5:45AM and got both gardens watered. That was about it.
I had an appointment late morning and I got there and the receptionist signed me in. And I sat, and sat, right in front of her line of sight for 45 minutes as patient after patient who had come in after me went it.
At 11:45AM I asked to use her phone to call my van driver to tell him, right in front of her, that I hadn’t gotten in yet. And went back and sat for another half an hour, in front of her.
At 12:15PM she comes out of the office and starts apologizing. Apparently she had signed me in as “No Show”. Why, when I used her phone earlier, had that not set off alarm bells??? Sigh…
It’s a new place and I didn’t know how they worked, so that’s why I didn’t say anything. Next time I’ll know better.
I finally got home, unseen by the doctor, in time to snatch some lunch and out the door for my second appointment.
We went the back way along the river and we, the driver and I as I was the only rider, looked for different size pumpkins for sale and my goldy mums. We found lots of different pumpkins as we went along, but the mums we saw hadn’t really blossomed yet so we couldn’t tell the colors.
I was back home just before 4PM and the wood guy had delivered the last load of wood for the wood shed. My #3 intern is coming on Friday and will start getting it in the shed.
I made the post for the day before and got that up and then sat down to watch Big Bang theory until bedtime.

My brother came home and we ended up talking about the toys post and various toys and bikes we remembered having.
We fed Purina dog food back then and my brother remembers the TV ad for that where the chuck wagon leaves the TV and zooms around the house with the dog in pursuit.
Apparently we saved up the necessary things to send away for the wagon and horse. He remembers zooming the wagon out of the family room where the TV was and into the kitchen and all around the big kitchen. He would have been around age 8 at the time.
I finally got to bed around 8:30PM.
On Wednesday I’m hoping to get outside and get the mulch down on Row 6 in the New Herb garden. No appointments or anyone coming. I also hope to harvest the tomatoes and peppers.
