The questions is, is it allowed to convince your family to join your religion, according to the teaching, yes it is because it is one way of sharing the truth and love with them that you have found the true religion to salvation, the true religion to heaven. If you find something that Is good that is going to benefit other in all areas of life, as a good person you need to share that things also with others so that people around you also can benefit, just like salvation, you need to preach it to others to. But you have to be careful, you have to take precaution. The first thing you need to do is to be sure that it's the true religion so that devil will not use you to destroy them. Paul the apostle convinced his people that he has found the true religion, he was sure of it and he shared that act of love with them by convincing them.
