Even though the idea of paying of tithes has been for a long time, since the Old Testament and in the new dispensation of time that we are now, there is still the idea of paying tithe which has been commanded by God because what do ever we give unto him, he will return it it more folds
God has commanded commanded us in the bible that:
>“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”
The principle that is behind paying of tithe is that anytime we give, God will give us back in multiple folds. Under the privileges of believer, tithing was Israelites convent that they made to God under grace.
>Deut. 14:28–29: At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase the same year, and shalt lay it up within thy gates:And the Levite, (because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee,) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest."
Though is it an old covenant rule to pay tithe as believers , but now that we are in a new dispensation, it has not been forced but we should pay according to how God has blessed our pocket
