The Command & Conquer series is a passion for every player who loves RTS games, and for sure every RTS player has ever tried a part of the series.

The Remaster version comes to the oldest parts of the series and the first, as the Command & Conquer part was released in 1995, when the version was announced, all the propaganda words that came with these copies were mentioned, starting with 4K quality or artificial intelligence improvements, etc.

In fact, I was not impressed at all by these statements, especially since they were very similar to the rest of the statements for all versions of Remastered that were released during the current year, but after the release of the game I felt nostalgia and overwhelming feelings about this game and I did not get myself and decided to obtain it and review Command & Conquer Remastered, did this game improve the idea of remastered versions?

Artificial intelligence

This game is very old and has been issued for a full 25 years, and of course the artificial intelligence of the original game cannot be enjoyed at the present time with the progress that the gaming industry has enjoyed.

In the remastered version, the artificial intelligence has been greatly improved, and you will feel that the soldiers have a real thought on the battlefield, but unfortunately, you will also find a set of artificial intelligence problems.

Personally, I faced a very interesting problem where a technical failure occurred to one of the cars responsible for collecting resources, the car became full of resources and the car started to rotate around the building designated for placing the resources as if the car did not know its true path, even when the car itself was identified and given a direct command, the car remained circling around the building aimlessly.

Another interesting malfunction occurred when some of the generosity attacked the base, and when I ordered to direct my soldiers to clash with them, the clash actually took place behind them, but the funny thing is that they did not move at all and continued to attack the base.

In fact, the artificial intelligence may have greatly improved, but this does not prevent the existence of some problems that have not been addressed so far, but in the overall experience it was very good for this point.

Same style of play

The Command & Conquer Remastered version maintains exactly the same original gameplay experience and the same missions that were released in the original parts are present in the Remastered parts.

Likewise, the style of play itself and so far the game is characterized by very fast rotation, and you will find yourself always busy while playing either building or fighting and the movement of your soldiers, but in reality you will be occupied with building and war at the same time.

The forces in the game depend on the style of paper, stone, scissors. Each soldier or combat unit has an advantage over one of the other units, so your army must be slightly diversified.

You can also summon as many soldiers and buildings as you want as long as you have the necessary resources and with the appropriate resources, it is considered the main weapon in this game. Whoever has the resources on the map has the reins of power, so always try to fight for the resources.

Unfortunately, the original version of the game does not contain any orders for soldiers or any strategic directives, and the remastered version kept the same approach and it was better to add a set of control orders such as formations or gathering points at least

Music

The music for the original game has been reproduced and improved greatly, and we now have 7 great hours of music, but unfortunately the music in the game all belongs to rock.

The music should have been diversified a little. Personally, I liked the music very much, especially as I love rock music, but for example I have a friend who is very bothered by the music and turns it off so that he can enjoy the game according to his taste.

In any case, the game offers a very distinctive musical experience, especially if you are a fan of rock music, but if you are bothered by this type of music, it will be a little tired, especially as it continues with you from the beginning of the main menu even within the missions, battles, or even download screens.

Graphics

The original version of the game is very old, so we are talking about a game from 1995, and certainly such a game has a graphic quality that is not at all compatible with the current generation.

For this reason, the big difference between the original and the remastered version is very clear, because the number of polygons in the Remastered version is much more than the number of polygons in the original version.

The remastered version has a much higher resolution and this is evident in all elements of the game, from buildings and soldiers to land, plants and water, but no lights or reflections were added in the game.

In fact, the existing drawings answer a very important question, why do we make remastered copies in the first place?

It is clear that the good remastered version is the version that brings us back an old experience that we enjoyed in the past in a relatively acceptable way in the current era, so it is very difficult to provide a remastered version of the game released soon, for example, the game Warcraft III originally provided a visual experience that contains many From polygons because it was around the time so when the Remastered version was released, we didn't feel a big difference because the Remastered version only works to increase the resolution and add more polygons.

As for the cinematic clips drawn by the computer, they are very bad in reality and you will not feel much better, or we can say the improvement is there, but it is not sufficient and it was better to re-design and draw them again, but in any case these scenes are not long or important in the game because the game depends on clips Another cinematic shot naturally, which is one of the famous signs that characterize the game.

The quality of these clips was actually improved in order to be acceptable to a large extent, but sometimes the quality was less than the rest of the clips that were improved, in fact I do not remember how these clips were in the original version, but the clips we have now are very acceptable.

A very smart move has been added in the Remastered version, where you can switch between classic or new graphics at any time within the game using the ruler and when you start the game for the first time, the graphics will be in the classic mode in order for the game to force you to notice the difference between the two versions, and the real addition was very smart And it made me as a player always notice the amount of effort expended in this version.

Performance and price

As for the game’s performance, it is excellent and the game does not consume any hardware resources. The size of the game is a bit huge, especially if it is compared with some other strategic titles that were released recently, but we must not forget that the version contains two complete games with all additions and the DLC that It was released for both Command & Conquer and Red Alert.

On the mention of the two games and add-ons, the Command & Conquer Remastered version comes at only $ 20, and in the opinion of the person, this price is very suitable for this version compared to the content of the game and the very large number of hours this game needs.

We also do not forget that the game is already fun, and no matter how much time these games pass, it will still be fun, as it is a legacy with the meaning of the word, and of course it is good to enjoy this game in 2020.
