Moon Karts is more than just a neon-streaked, 3D kart racer—it’s a finely tuned play‑to‑earn experience where rewards flow from performance, dedication, and smart investments. At its core, the game evaluates four key factors to determine earnings: your skill on the track, time invested, the quality of NFTs you race with, and your stake in COLONY governance tokens. Miss any one of these, and you risk falling behind
COLONY token rewards are divvied up each day among several pools:
-
Orbitals Pool (40%)
-
Ranking Pool (25%)
-
On-track pickups (10%)
-
Referral Pool (5%)
-
Seasonal Rewards Pool (20%)
The Seasonal Rewards Pool offers a compelling twist: over every 10-day cycle, tokens accumulate and are awarded based on leaderboard performance when snapshots are taken at cycle’s end. It’s a system that rewards sustained dedication and skill far beyond one-off wins.
There are three solid ways to earn by racing:
- Collect COLONY tokens during a race and finish still holding them—only then do you bank them.
- Climb the skill-based ELO leaderboards (daily and seasonal) and claim proportional shares from the Ranking Pool.
- Gather Orbitals on track, win, and benefit from multipliers tied to your kart, driver, and parts—then get ranked on Orbital leaderboards for further rewards
Beyond racing, the Referral Program offers passive earnings: refer new players using an invite link, and for every $20 they spend, you earn points. Those points translate into a slice of the 5% daily Referral Pool—allocated proportionally between all referrers. But to keep it fair, one account can’t take more than 0.5% of the total Rewards Pool or 10% of the Referral Pool daily. Unclaimed tokens roll over, growing tomorrow’s incentive.
Looking ahead, Moon Karts plans to introduce Moon Domes—player-owned stadiums where the owner earns 10% of the COLONY tokens from any race held there. It’s a vision of ownership, community, and ongoing earnings converging in a playful, strategic ecosystem.
