Deliver Us From Temptation

We wake up every day, dress up, and start hustling for urgent 2k like our lives depend on it. Well it does, But in all our hustling, one prayer we should never forget is:

“Lord, deliver me from temptation.”

Searching for urgent 2k.

Because temptation from places we never expect, it can meet you in the market, at work, or even inside your own house.

Let me gist you what happened recently…

About three weeks ago, a car lost its brakes on my street. The driver couldn’t control the car and before anyone knew it, he ran into my neighbor’s shop. The whole building collapsed on her. Thank God she survived, but that incident reminded me that life change in a second.

Now fast forward to yesterday, another kind of temptation almost landed my husband in hot soup.

Hubby vs. village people

Hubby was just doing his normal routine pen and paper in hand, writing down product details for a client. Out of nowhere, a little boy showed up, pointing straight at him.

The boy was trying to force words out but couldn’t talk properly. Before we knew it, he was pointing at my husband like he had done something terrible to him.

In less than 5 seconds, people have gathered around them, it was like Nigeria movie. A crowd gathered, everyone asking questions.

“Ogá, wetin you do this pikin?”(Mr What did you do to the child)

“Why e dey point at you like that?”(why is he pointing at you?)

At that moment, if not for some onlookers who had been there from the beginning and confirmed hubby never touched the boy, let’s just say my husband would have received free beating of his lifeblue and black edition

They later did some “fetish rituals” for the child, and The boy returned to normal like nothing ever happened.

Sometimes temptation doesn’t come as money, food, or relationship wahala. It can come as a random situation that wants to drag your name in the mud.

That’s why we must always pray.

Lord, deliver me from temptation and unnecessary drama

Because in this life, anything can happen at anytime.

Now tell me, if you were in my husband’s shoes that day, what would you have done?
