Yesterday one of my client told me something that struck me, she said she feels guilty whenever she spends money on herself. I asked her why and she said that's because she has a lot of responsibility so she believes spending money on some unnecessary things like bag, wigs and shoe is out of the picture.
Take time and money out of your busy schedule and enjoy yourself it's the reward for your hard work.
I could relate, because I have once felt that way too. That guilt anytime I thought of buying myself something new it just keeps nagging me. But one day I just called myself to order...
How many years do we have left? Why not live a little, life is just too short to keep depriving ourselves. If you are working very hard to warn your money, why shouldn't you also enjoy it? I am not saying you should spend extravagantly or recklessly, but a little soft life here and there isn't a crime... it's a reward for your efforts.
*Abi suffer no dey tire you?*
So next time you feel guilty about buying that wig, that perfume, or even taking yourself out for a nice meal, just remember: responsibility doesn’t mean punishment.
Spoil yourself a little, because you deserve it.
Do you ever feel guilty when you spend on yourself? Or are you team “I’ll buy it, because I worked for it”?
