She Died in My House… Should I Tell Her Mother the Truth?

I want to share a real-life scenario that raises deep questions about responsibility, honesty, and the choices. It's an emotional one, you might feel emotional too but just read and tell me your honest answer.

   *The story*

You and your spouse live in a three-bedroom flat with your children, and you also have a maid. One day, you had to travel for a business trip. Unfortunately, the maid was sick, so before leaving, you gave your wife money and asked her to take the maid to the hospital the next day.

You traveled, and after a week, you returned home. Your children ran happily to welcome you, but you noticed the maid didn’t come out. You asked the kids about her, and they said she was in her room.

You walk into her room, you met a heartbreaking sight the whole place was messed up, smelling of vomit. You rushed to your wife to ask why she hadn’t gotten better. But her response left you in shock:

Don’t mind her, she’s only pretending to be sick. We can’t waste money on her.

Ignoring your wife, you quickly rushed the maid to the hospital. Sadly, within 24 hours, she died.

Now here’s the dilemma…

You both beg the mother and promised her that you would take care of her daughter. But now she is gone, and the truth behind her death is bitter.

Would you tell the mother exactly what happened? Or would you hide the truth to protect your wife?
