Lately, I’ve been observing something funny in my house. My mum has been around, and my little boy has been so excited about her presence.
He is just all over her, from following her around, to dragging the TV remote with her, to getting angry at her and sorting it out with her. And the funniest part? She lets him!
This is the same woman that used to give me “premium beating and lecture combo” when I was his age Now she can’t even raise her voice at her grandson she just laughs and says, “leave my son alone for me, he’s still a child.”
And I’m like, “Ehn mummy, so I wasn’t a child when i wanted to watch carton and you asked me to go get my homework done ?” But honestly, seeing my mum and my son bonding together really melts my heart. Maybe that's what motherhood at this stage should be likepeaceful, more tolerant patience and plenty of soft love
Still, I wonder... Why do parents suddenly turn to angels when they become grandparents? Have you noticed this too? Or is it just my mum that switched to soft parenting?
