Greetings, dear fellow walkers! Every week we share different routes on our walks in the @wednesdaywalk community. It's a pleasure to be with you again. On this occasion, I'd like to share a very special walk I took with several young missionaries from my parish in an area a little way out of the center of Cabudare, where I live. We began the walk in the town of Veragacha, in the central part of Lara state, and ended in a small hamlet called Guacabra, where we were able to contact the families in the area to bring them a word of encouragement and salvation. Guacabra is a small place with beautiful landscapes and where the houses are far apart from each other. Its inhabitants are simple people who work in agriculture and raise goats and cattle. The further we walked, the greener the landscape became, with abundant vegetation. The last house in the hamlet even had a banana plantation. It was definitely a very pleasant environment, despite the heat and bright sun. The houses were very simple but full of people with a great desire to live and who were very attentive. The most important thing was not the trip itself, nor the scenery, but the welcome and attitude of the people towards us. They were happy to open their doors and joyfully received the good news. En esta oportunidad les comparto una caminata muy especial que realicé en compañía de varios jóvenes misioneros de mi parroquia en un sector un poco retirado del centro de la ciudad de Cabudare donde resido. Comenzamos la caminata en el poblado de Veragacha, perteneciente al estado Lara, en la parte central y terminamos en un pequeño caserío llamado Guacabra, donde pudimos contactar a las familias del sector para llevarles una palabra de aliento y salvación. Guacabra es un pequeño lugar con bonitos paisajes y donde las viviendas se encuentran distantes entre sí. Sus habitantes son personas sencillas dedicadas a la agricultura y a la cría de ganado capricornio y bovino. Mientras más caminábamos, el paisaje se hacía más verde, con vegetación abundante e incluso, la última vivienda del caserío tenía una plantación de bananos o cambur. Definitivamente un ambiente muy agradable, a pesar del calor y de un sol radiante. Las viviendas muy sencillas pero llenas de gente con muchos deseos de vivir y muy atentas. Lo más importante no fue el paseo, ni los paisajes, sino el recibimiento y la actitud de la gente hacía nosotros. Estaban felices de abrir sus puertas y recibían con alegría la buena nueva.
