Greetings, dear friends of this community @throwbackthursday, which every Thursday helps us travel through the past in search of so many situations and moments that fill our lives with joy and satisfaction. On this occasion, I found these photographs from 2008 when we traveled to Caracas to receive my degree in mathematics from the National Open University. I went with my family and José, my classmate, to receive my degree in mathematics by correspondence because we didn't finish in time to graduate with the rest of our class. Only José and I graduated with a specialization in numerical analysis from Barquisimeto, and then the university closed due to a lack of students. While we were there, we took the opportunity to visit some tourist attractions such as the Caricuao Zoo and the Children's World, to take my daughter, who was only seven years old. The photos I'm showing you were taken at the zoo while we enjoyed the walk and watched my daughter having fun getting to know the animals. It was a very fun day, and at the end, we had dinner at a restaurant very close to the hotel where we stayed in Plaza Venezuela. At that time, I was thinner, didn't have a belly, and had a mustache. We stayed in Caracas for three days to sightsee and visit some places of interest. I know the city because I worked for almost a year in the downtown area with a company that sold pipes. My wife also knows the city because she always had to come to update the government accounts with the banks' headquarters. Caracas is a city with many attractions for tourists and many opportunities for business and work, but I only like it for visiting. I prefer the tranquility of my city, Barquisimeto. These photos brought back memories of that occasion, and I was very moved to see my friend José, whom I haven't spoken to in a long time. En esta oportunidad conseguí estas fotografías del año 2008 cuando viajamos a Caracas a recibir mi titulo de matemático en la universidad nacional abierta. Fui con mi familia y con José, mi compañero de promoción a recibir mi título de Matemático por secretaría porque no terminamos a tiempo para graduarnos junto al lote de graduandos de la promoción. Solamente José y yo nos graduamos en la especialidad análisis numérico por Barquisimeto y luego la universidad procedió a cerrarla por falta de estudiantes. Estando allá aprovechamos de visitar algunos lugares turísticos como el zoológico de Caricuao y el mundo de los niños, para llevar a mi hija que apenas tenia siete años. Las fotos que les traigo las tomamos en el zoológico, mientras disfrutábamos la caminata y viendo a mi hija como se entretenía conociendo los animales. Fue un día muy divertido y al final cenamos en un restaurant muy cercano al hotel donde nos quedamos en la plaza Venezuela. En ese entonces yo estaba mas delgado y sin barriga y usaba bigote. Nos quedamos 3 días en Caracas para pasear y conocer algunos sitios de interés. Yo conozca la ciudad porque trabajé casi un año en la zona del centro con una compañía que comercializaba tuberías. Mi esposa también conoce la ciudad porque siempre tenia que venir a actualizar las cuentas de la gobernación con la sede principal de los bancos. Caracas es una ciudad con muchos atractivos para el turista y con muchas oportunidades para los negocios y trabajos, sin embargo, me gusta solo para visitarla. Me quedo con la tranquilidad de mi ciudad Barquisimeto. Estas fotos me hicieron vivir aquella ocasión y me causó mucha emoción ver a mi amigo José, con quien tengo tiempo sin conversar.
