Hello @motherhood community,
The past few days have been a whirlwind of activity, starting last Thursday when I dived into back-to-back seminars. My days were filled with discussions, presentations, and endless note-taking, leaving me mentally drained but eager to learn. The schedule was tight, and I barely had time to catch my breath.
By the time Saturday rolled around, I was still wrapped up in thoughts from the sessions when my son tugged at my sleeve and softly said, “Mama, can we have a little time? I miss you.”
His words melted my exhaustion instantly. That afternoon, we decided to slip away for a while. Just the two of us, we strolled to a nearby pizza place, a cozy spot not far from home. Over slices of cheesy, warm pizza, we laughed about little things, shared stories, and I listened as he told me about his week. The simplicity of that moment felt so refreshing like time had slowed down just for us.
Later, we agreed as a family that we needed more of that peace. We packed up and headed for a quick trip to a colder place, a quiet escape where the air was crisp and refreshing. Surrounded by nature and soft chilly winds, we let go of the stress that had piled up over the week. The kids ran around giggling, their breath visible in the cool air, while we adults soaked in the calming scenery. It wasn’t a long trip, but it was enough to recharge our minds and hearts.
Now, as I look back, those small pauses in our busy lives a pizza date and a family getaway became the most meaningful highlights of my week. As a mom I'm really happy.
