I've continued playing around
with the idea I shared before, and I think it's coming along though it definitely isn't finished. I wound up leaving the piano in, though it happens less often, and I replaced its other repetitions with an arpeggiated synth. I changed the breaks, so it isn't just repeating a single note, and messed around with automating the transposition setting to get some weird pitch bending stuff. I also added a bit of distortion to the existing hi-hat/snare track (made up of that randomized beat), as well as adding a new track with some other cymbal hits, though they're too quiet. I need to probably drop the volume on a few things or really just mix everything again, and I think it'll work out better. I am still not sure how I feel about some bits, transitions and stuff, but I still love the weird dissonant bass that is the basis for the track, so I'm gonna keep rolling with it and see where it goes.
