This was initially just sort of a random

Drum pattern, Snares 1/16th early
thing, but it wound up being a pretty cool idea that I definitely wanna mess around with more. I had started with a drum pattern, pictured to the right here. It was a very straight-forward thing, except I pushed the snare hits a 1/16th note early. There's a lot of velocity randomness on the hats, which was fine, but once I added Thermal, specifically a drum setting called 'Pumping', it made the beat WAY cooler. I think the kicks are a little weird sounding, so I may change those out. I also recorded the drums into audio, then glitched them out a bit, speeding up little portions, pitching up others, reversing a few things, which made for a really cool pattern. Tracks 3 and 4 both provide our chords, using two different LABS keyboard sounds. The basic progression in the yellow parts is: Amin, E7, Fmaj7, then Amin, Emin7, and Fmaj9 (then a little Dmin at the end before turning around). Track 6 is a ROLI bass synth, recorded to audio. I need to tweak it a bit, and probably boost the levels cause it got a bit lost. Track 7 is another ROLI sound, and plays single note pluck sounds over the chord changes. Finally, we have Track 8, a Pianoteq sound which was only used over the first break. I added a heavy convolution reverb to it, though I'm not entirely sure if I love this addition or not... maybe with some tweaks. I'll be playing with this tonight and see where things go.
