'Seconds' - New Original Music - A Bit of Messing Around...

from last night, which started with the little vamp pictured below. It plays the same progression in C Dorian, then A Dorian, back and forth, playing with descending major and minor 2nds on the top end. I recorded a second version of this, run through Portal, which is now Track 2. This provides some weird little reverse delay bits and syncopated hits which I blended with Track 1 to get the base of the tune. Track 3 is a drum kit which has various glass-like percussive sounds, which I tuned to fit the progression, and Track 4 provides some actual drums (kicks, snares, some clicks, and hats). Track 5 is a bass synth, pretty basic, but I like the progression, and finally we have Track 6 which just adds a little 2 note ornament at the start of each key change section. Overall, I am digging this idea, so I'm gonna jam on it some more and see where things go.
