Birthday Part Two: A Delicious Cherry CAKE

Our new one-year-old got to try out her cake! She liked the insides, but the frosting was a bit much.

It was a CHERRY cake, with fresh cherries from our tree, sweet-cherry flavored jam inside and almond flavored butter cream icing. It was AMAZING!

The girls did a great job decorating the cake. It looks professionally made.

When it came time to cut the cake, everyone was a little sad... but what good is a cake if we don't eat it!

It was a great conclusion to a great first birthday party. We will remember it, but our little one year old will have to look at photos.

If my girls keep on practicing cake making, by the time she's two she's going to get an even more impressive cake!
