We visited our local Aldi to get stocked up on supplies. The grocery bill was about $200 or about 840 HIVE with current prices. That means that a dozen eggs at 5.49 or about 23 HIVE per dozen. That's almost 2 HIVE per EGG!!!
Yes, a single lone chicken egg is currently valued at 2 HIVE!
Looking at overall nation-wide averages, 5.49 for a dozen eggs isn't terrible as many stores are selling for more like $9 - $10 / dozen.
Absolutely crazy.
At some point, we will live in an area where our home chickens will be producing many dozens of eggs, just for the cost of feed. But until then, there are some things that have to be put in place first, done first, accomplished first, settled first.
Just because we can't see it in the immediate future, doesn't mean it won't happen eventually. Now is the time to make "eventually" a eventual REALITY!
