I had a PC job come up and I drove just shy of an hour out to my client's office. He redesigned his office and needed all of his printers reconfigured and connected - six printers in all! With two laptops, that was 12 items of business, attempted to be completed in just an hour or so.
But nothing goes as planned. I got there considerably later than expected and the work went considerably later than expected. But the client was pleased and I did get everything functional.
But the biggest surprise is when his wife handed me a heavy bag of (premium) candy. My client purchased this in October for children knocking on his door, but he was out of town and hardly anyone showed up at the door. Rather than hold on to all the candy, they asked if my children would enjoy them.

Yes, they would enjoy them! Thankfully, the candy isn't my service payment (I like candy, but it doesn't pay the bills), but it was a delight to come home with this giant treasure trove of candy!
It's going to take months and months to go through all of this. We're thinking of using these as prize incentives for school-work.
What an unexpected surprise!
