This is my 5th entry for iTalent. Yeah I missed the last one but here I am again!! This time I'm playing a piece by Dilermando Reis. This piece is taken from the 1st volume of his pieces transcribed by Ivan Paschoito.
Dilermando Reis was probably the most famous Brazilian guitarist. He lived most of his life in Rio De Janeiro, where he worked actively in radio and recordings. From 1941 to 1975 he recorded about 20-78rpm and 23-LP's.
The notation for this piece and all the other pieces in this book was done by Mr.Paschoito. The source was the recordings that was done by Dilermando Reis.
Mr.Paschoito did his best to write the pieces down the best way that would live up to the style of Dilermando Reis. This was not an easy task as Dilermando played his pieces with a lot of rubatos. To put that down in notation would have made things look very complicated. One has to be familiar with this style of music to be able to bring his music out well.
That being said I've done my best here to play this piece to the best of my abilities...hope you like it!
