At the end of July, we had very hot weather day after day, and I pretty much fled my home because it was too hot to live in. I was constantly swating and I decided to go camping alone for a couple of days, just to escape the heat and so that I could sleep well in adequate temps. I spent the first night in northwestern Estonia, but for the second night, I drove back to northern Estonia and spent the night in the Pakri peninsula
I have been to the Pakri peninsula numerous times before. Namely, I have been on the Pakri sea cliff many times. If you follow me for a while, then you have seen me post about it. I had never been on the opposite side of the peninsula before though. There I found some mostly sandy beaches, as you can see here.
I had a walk in the forest next to the coast. Saw some massive trees being downed by the big storms we had last year, in the fall. The tree is much bigger than it appears in this photo.
I went along the coast for a little while, to see some new coastlines that I had not seen before.
Some buildings from the Second World War. It was a closed area during this time. I don't have a photo, but it was all fenced off during this time. The fence is now gone, but the concrete fence poles still stand to this day, and with some empty buildings.
No camping trip would be successful without a nice sunset in the evening. This time I got what I hoped for. A burning and glowing sunset. Half of the day was fully cloudy and I didn't really have big hopes for a great sunset, but the sky cleared just enough by the evening for some sunshine to poke through. I had to be quick, though. The sun was out for only minutes before it went behind the clouds again. Here is how I used this time to take photos.
Soon the sun went behind a cloud, and I didn't really see it go down behind the horizon.
The coastline there is so beautiful. Half sandy, half rocky. Small coastal hills definitely give this place a different vibe than other spots don't.

I actually didn't have big hopes for me liking this camping spot, and that's why I have stayed away in the past. I didn't know if I would even be able to see the sunset because the view is in a direction where the sun does not set. I was mistaken. When it's summer then you can see the sunset because the sun sets almost in the north.
Either way, I was pleasantly surprised by the camping spot. I don't have the photos of where my actual tent was, but you can see the surrounding areas. In fact, there were a lot of spots there and farther away to pitch a tent and have a fire. I found out about an extremely nice spot where I probably want to go next year. I walked through that, though and will post photos soon!
