First of all, do you know what’s crazy? This is the first post EVER I'm writing on my phone. I have been on Hive almost 8 years now but every post you have seen from me, has been written on PC. Mostly because all my photos from the real camera are there. I even export phone photos to PC when I am using these.
Today I want to share some storm photos that I took about a month ago. I didn't have my big camera with me at the time I was driving and had to use my phone to take photos of it. At least the shots are good enoughg for a phone.
This thunderstorm was approaching me and I wanted to stick around and see what I could see. It looked ugly, as far as the appearance if the cloud goes. Even the shelf can quite clearly be seen.
I drove on the field to get a better and cleaner view. That I did get! I wasn't sure if I’ll be getting a direct hit or not. Part of me wants to see a direct hit but the other part of me is scared of massive hail that can happen and destroy my car.
I drove a bit further on another field. Ar this point the storm went through a bit of a transformation and most of it faded away before it reached over me. I did see and hear strong thunder but I mostly got rain that can barely be called heavy.
This is how the cloud looked when it came over me. You can also see a rainbow on the roght side of the photo above.
I ended up not getting a ton of action thunderstorm-wise, but the field I was on was gorgeous with the golden light and landscape full of wheat or something.
When I see a storm, I always try to chase it. Get some awesome photos and see what happens. Sometimes when the storm is too strong, I even escape the spot I was taking photos because I dont want to be the sole tallest object on an empty field.
More storm content coming soon!
