In early August I was driving home and saw these really cool clouds. These are altocumulus clouds and are usually in mid-level altitudes 2-6Km high. I just snapped a quick photo with my phone and didn't think much more of it. Just a regular nice sunset.
Fast forward a couple of hours later when it was dark already. I happened to look out of the window and I was quite amazed what I was seeing. The same type of clouds were all over the sky but the moon was almost straight above me and lit all of these cloud up from above. The whole sky was bright with this cloud pattern
I wish I went out and took some well composed photos with my real camera but I was in a mittle of an online game with my friend, so I didnt. Such a shame… Still, it was pretty special to see that.
