Hola amigas y amigos queridos. Espero se encuentren saludables y felices como todos en esta tierra merecemos estar. No hablemos de cosas malas, eso es fácil, lo difícil es sonreír entre tantos líos.
Les cuento en lo que ando:
Quienes ya pasaron, o se quedaron trabajando en una de las universidades de nuestro país, sabrá que es una de tantas otras exigencias el participar en eventos, hacer artículos científicos, ponencias, forums y en cuanto palo y lata se escuchen en estas instituciones, y más cuando se está en una maestría, que también te lo exigen.
Para ser sincera, yo no tengo problema alguno con esas normas. Yo soy del tipo de personas que evento haya, evento va, concurso haya, concurso participa, hay que escribir, se escribe y así aprendo yo y me hago de más conocimientos y al mismo tiempo, es una justificación razonable para ausentarme por un día o por varios días, aprovechar y salir de mi zona de comfort, conocer personas y quién sabe si haya oportunidad para un buen trago y alguna bailadita.
Jejejejejjjj, sí, mi espíritu fiestero siempre está disponible aunque incluya usar un tilín el cerebro.
En fin, en una de esas andadas por mis contextos del día a día, y por la maestría, tendré que participar en un evento en La Habana el próximo mes de diciembre y pues, hoy hice mi ponencia.
Sin pretender aburrirles, les voy a contar un poco de qué va:
Mi investigación gira en torno a la habilidad de expresión escrita en inglés en los estudiantes de primer año de la carrera Licenciatura en Educación, Lenguas Extranjeras, Inglés, que es donde yo enseño. De forma general, en algún momento del próximo año, haré una estrategia para mejorar esa habilidad en los estudiantes. Parece fiero sólo de escucharlo, pero una vez lo comienzas a hacer y se ven las cosas tomando forma, te das cuenta de que era algo que sí podías hacer.
¿Dónde y cómo entra Hive?
En la parte donde digo que el blogging si tiene una utilidad real y puede ser una herramienta muy buena para desarrollar esa habilidad en los estudiantes. Desde mi punto de vista, todos se verían beneficiados con su uso: la plataforma crece en usuarios activos, los estudiantes aprenden cómo es escribir para audiencias reales, tendrían retroalimentación de hablantes nativos del inglés y pues, sería también una fuente de ingreso para sus años universitarios además del estipendio que reciben.
Esto solamente comienza aquí y no miento en lo que digo. Mi amiga @princess23ary comenzó siendo aún estudiante y hoy en día sus escritos han mejorado muchísimo en calidad y profundidad del mensaje. En ese momento no la invité acá con esa intención, pero, cuando me puse a pensar, ella es la prueba viva de lo que digo.
También yo misma, hoy me es más sencillo escribir del tema que me digan. Ya no empleo tanto tiempo en pensar, por el contrario, las palabras van saliendo solas con coherencia y tono apropiado.
No me van a negar que quienes empezaron escribiendo para su blog antes, hoy son más fluidos y les es más fácil todo.
Y esto es solo el comienzo. Hay planes, hay ideas... Solo falta que las buenas vibras me acompañen y que todo salga bien. Una futura reunión con @eduardo900613 debe y pudiera definir mucho en lo adelante para la comunidad Hive Occidente (aquí va un adelanto de lo que me gustaría conversar con usted jjjj).
No adelanto más, eso es todo por ahora.

Hello dear friends. I hope you are healthy and happy, as everyone on this earth deserves to be. Let's not talk about bad things—that's easy. What's hard is smiling amidst so many troubles.
Let me tell you what I've been up to:
Those who have already been through or are currently working at one of our country's universities know that one of the many requirements is participating in events, writing scientific articles, giving presentations, attending forums, and jumping through every hoop these institutions set up—especially when you're pursuing a master's degree, which also demands it.
To be honest, I have no problem with these rules. I'm the type of person who, if there's an event, I go; if there's a contest, I participate; if I need to write, I write. That's how I learn and gain more knowledge. At the same time, it's a reasonable excuse to be absent for a day or several days, to step out of my comfort zone, meet new people, and who knows—maybe there's even a chance for a good drink and a little dance.
Hehehehe, yes, my party spirit is always ready, even if it means using my brain a little.
Anyway, in one of these daily endeavors and for my master's degree, I'll have to participate in an event in Havana next December, and today, I finished my presentation.
Without boring you, let me tell you a bit about what it's about:
My research focuses on the English writing skills of first-year students in the Bachelor's in Education, Foreign Languages, English program—which is where I teach. In general, at some point next year, I'll implement a strategy to improve this skill among the students. It might sound intimidating just hearing about it, but once you start and see things taking shape, you realize it was something you could actually do.
Where does Hive come in?
In the part where I say that blogging has real utility and can be an excellent tool to develop this skill in students. From my perspective, everyone would benefit from its use: the platform grows with active users, students learn what it's like to write for real audiences, they'd receive feedback from native English speakers, and it could also be a source of income during their university years, in addition to the stipend they receive.
This is just the beginning, and I'm not lying when I say this. My friend @princess23ary started here while she was still a student, and today, her writing has improved tremendously in quality and depth of message. I didn't invite her here with that intention at the time, but when I stopped to think about it, she's living proof of what I'm saying.
And myself—today, it's easier for me to write about any topic I'm given. I no longer spend so much time thinking; instead, the words flow on their own, coherently and with the appropriate tone.
You can't deny that those who started writing for their blogs back then are now more fluent and find everything easier.
And this is just the beginning. There are plans, there are ideas... All that's left is for good vibes to accompany me and for everything to go well. A future meeting with @eduardo900613 could and should define a lot for the Hive Occidente community moving forward (here's a little preview of what I'd like to discuss with you, hehe).
