If anyone had told me I’d be running for my life on Christmas Eve, I’d have never believed it. I thought this to myself as I saw my life flash before my eyes not once, or twice, but three times on that fateful eve.

Spending Christmas on a cruise ship had been the dream of my life. To forget about problems while watching and listening to the sea from the ship's railing. Under the harsh glow of a silver LED bulb stationed overhead, four men gathered at a square table in an abandoned room, junk strewn across the dirty cement floor. Hands folded across broad chests, slightly heavy breaths and an occasional sigh as all four gazed down intently at the blueprint of a building spread before them on the table.
