Una tarde, un fuerte estruendo rompió el silencio de mi habitación. Provenía de la sala, salté de mi cama y corrí para ver qué había pasado. Al salir me encontré el suelo cubierto de pedazos de vidrio y era del único espejo que teníamos en casa, ese donde nos arreglábamos para salir, tenía unas medidas de 60x50m, y algo pesado se había roto. Pobre de mi mamá, la noté un poco nerviosa, estaba limpiando y, sin querer, lo había tumbado.
De inmediato, nos pusimos a recoger todos los pedazos de vidrio. Eso sí, teniendo mucho cuidado de no cortarnos. Mientras limpiábamos, me di cuenta de que había dos trozos de espejo no tan pequeños, que milagrosamente habían sobrevivido a la caída. Eran de unos tamaños considerables, lo suficientemente grandes como para darles una segunda oportunidad y así no quedarnos sin espejo en casa. Hasta que podamos reunir lo suficiente y comprar uno. Con lo caro que está todo por acá.
En lugar de desecharlos, decido tomarlos y guardarlos para luego transformarlos en unas piezas de arte, dándoles una segunda oportunidad. Para este caso tomo el trozo más pequeño. Ya luego, viendo cómo queda el resultado, realizo el otro. En mi habitación las paredes están adornadas con círculos de colores de varios tonos, siendo estos de azul, verde y marrón.

Para comenzar, corté numerosas tiras de foami, de aproximadamente un centímetro de ancho, asegurándome de tener una cantidad considerable de cada color por qué no sé qué cantidad de círculo vamos a necesitar.

Con las tiras listas, inicié el proceso de enrollado. Iniciando con cualquier color. Acá tomé una tira de foami negro y la enrollé sobre sí misma para formar un pequeño círculo. Una vez que el círculo tenía el tamaño deseado, lo aseguré con una gota de pegamento. Tomo otra tira y la enrollé dejando un espacio dentro de sí misma. Y lo aseguro con una gota de silicón.
Este mismo procedimiento lo realizaremos con todas las demás tiras.

Luego pegamos cada círculo con silicona caliente por todo el borde del trozo de espejo. Colocándolos uno al lado del otro y así a lo largo de todo el borde. Mediante el procedimiento puede ir cambiando los círculos para que encajen perfectamente.

Por ahora, el resultado está quedando increíble con todo el borde ya cubierto.
Ahora, y por último vamos a seguir pegando los círculos que nos quedan. Esta vez, en lugar de pegarlos directamente al espejo, los pegaremos en los círculos que ya están formando el marco. Habrá espacio donde deberás ir llenando con círculos más pequeños, así que debes tener tira de foamis e ir cubriendo y llenando cada espacio y disimulando por completo el desperfecto del espejo.
