It's Friday today and it's a very special day today for the whole world - Egg Day!
And today we took the opportunity to gather all photos from the last 2 years ever since our biggest supporter, a family based small business that grew into a local free range chicken farm supporting enterprise.
We were just so overwhelmed with gratefulness when one of @omnivori startup partner @sam.hsuu connected with us when she was helping out with certain content work with this particular farm when they decided to make their business mainstream; and time just flew by, month after month, without fail, this biggest supporter never stopped helping.
In fact, the only time they stopped helping was because the Movement Control Order Interstate Lockdown took place.
The moment it was lifted, they continued to reach out to see how they can help the families under our list to have nutritious eggs.
This business instead of trying to squeeze the most profit out of buyers, decided to bless families who couldn't afford basic food needs with their eggs that didn't pass their Quality Control for Retail purchase.
It's not because the eggs were less quality, in fact, their eggs are still the same best quality, except probably a little too small or too big for the standard market price.
Instead of selling of "rejected" eggs that didn't pass the "perfect standard" test, they blessed struggling families and centers instead.
They placed needs above 100% profit.
And we pray that God will continue to bless them abundantly till overflow.
Egg has been one of the most recommended nutritious clean diet recommended by doctors, and to know that they come from anti-biotic injection free healthy free-roaming chickens, we are very happy and ensured that every egg our recipients received are safe to consume.
Hence our photo collage of all our recipients and volunteers, to express our gratitude.
For Malaysians, when you purchase their eggs, know that a part of it has gone to help a family to starve less in a month through their continuous contribution not only our Food Bank, but other NGOs in Malaysia as well.
