## Les presento a Alyson Mattera y Andrés Castro!
Estos jóvenes grandes guitarristas son de Apure, Venezuela. Uno de los estados más grandes de mi país, con un riqueza cultural increíble, cientos de músicos de alto nivel, una gastronomía deliciosa (Porque el pueblo apureño cocina muy bien) y una calidad humana sin precedentes.
Estos muchachos entusiastas de las seis cuerdas me enviaron este video y yo les hice una propuesta. **Les dije que editaría la imagen y el video, a cambio, ellos me dejaría subirlo a mis redes sociales**, ellos aceptaron y acto seguido me puse a trabajar para dejarlo lo mejor posible.
A mí en lo personal me encantan los dúos y ensambles de guitarra, creo que ha sido un sueño frustrado de mi parte buscar a alguien para armar un dúo guitarrístico, pero estos muchachos me emocionan porque tienen mucho futuro como dúo.
## Doy clases a muchos jóvenes de todas partes de Venezuela.
Debido a que soy guitarrista de una de las principales orquestas de música tradicional de Venezuela (Orquesta Henry Rubio), constantemente me llegan mensajes de jóvenes de todas partes del país, preguntándome acerca de la técnica, interpretación, lectura de partitura, etc...
Es un honor y una gran responsabilidad de ser guía del futuro guitarrístico de Venezuela, una vez se me ofreció ser el líder de guitarras del programa alma llanera (programa que esta en todas partes de Venezuela) yo rechacé esta gran oportunidad debido a que la confrontación con muchos egos (sobre todo la capital) me iba a quitar mucha energía y tiempo, sin embargo, me siguen escribiendo y ayudo en lo posible.
No soy el mejor guitarrista de Venezuela, existen muchos grandes prospectos en cada rincón de este hermoso País, he visto muchachos de 15 años tocar obras maestras a un nivel de virtuosismo que yo creo nunca lograré alcanzar!
Pero ser un líder no solo es ser musicalmente bueno, tambien debes saber dialogar, gerenciar, buscar soluciones... en fin una serie de habilidades que se adquieren a través de la experiencia.
Hay personas que solo quieren decir: "Yo soy líder, soy el principal, soy el director, bla bla bla..." mientras tanto yo permanezco en silencio, trabajando y siguiendo la voluntad de Dios.
Al final un título no te dará el respeto ni la admiración de los demás, te lo dará el prestigio, y este te lo ganarás a través del trabajo, la constancia y la práctica de las virtudes.
## Let me introduce Alyson Mattera and Andrés Castro!
These great young guitarists are from Apure, Venezuela, one of the largest states in my country. It has an incredible cultural richness, hundreds of high-level musicians, delicious food (because the people of Apure cook very well), and an unprecedented warmth.
These enthusiastic young six-string players sent me this video, and I made them a proposal. I told them I would edit the image and the video, and in return, they would let me upload it to my social media. They accepted, and I immediately got to work to make it the best it could be.
Personally, I love guitar duos and ensembles. I think it's a frustrated dream of mine to find someone to form a guitar duo with, but these kids excite me because they have a great future as a duo.
I teach many young people from all over Venezuela.
Because I'm a guitarist for one of Venezuela's main traditional music orchestras (Orquesta Henry Rubio), I constantly get messages from young people across the country asking me about technique, interpretation, sight-reading, and so on.
It's an honor and a great responsibility to guide the future of guitar in Venezuela. I was once offered the position of lead guitarist for the Alma Llanera program (a program that exists throughout Venezuela). I turned down this great opportunity because confronting so many egos (especially in the capital) would take up too much of my energy and time. Still, they continue to write to me, and I help as much as I can.
I'm not the best guitarist in Venezuela. There are many great talents in every corner of this beautiful country. I've seen 15-year-olds play masterpieces at a level of virtuosity that I don't think I'll ever achieve!
But being a leader isn't just about being musically good. You also need to know how to communicate, manage, and find solutions—in short, a series of skills that are acquired through experience.
Some people just want to say, "I'm the leader, I'm the principal, I'm the director, blah, blah, blah..." Meanwhile, I remain silent, working and following God's will.
In the end, a title won't give you respect or admiration from others. That comes from your reputation, and you'll earn that through hard work, perseverance, and practicing virtues.
