Never underestimate the power of small habits. Small doesnt mean insignificant. Consistent small habits create big life changes. I used to do the FreeWriting Series but then anyhow stopped. Nevertheless, it’s a fresh start, and in today’s post, we’ll look at small habits that can make a big difference in our lives. Have a look at the following image, which I came through while browsing my X feed and I think the person has clearly highlighted how small habits can bring meaningful changes in our lives.
I will not go through all the pointers but will be talking about some of the pointers that I myself follow and have seen how much of a difference they bring in terms of productivity, focus, and overall well-being. At times we are so busy in our lives and we forget that we should be taking out some time for ourselves as well. Lets start with::
Planning your day - when you plan ahead, you not only stay organized but also make sure your priorities don’t get lost. As an example a simple to-do list can bring clarity and help you stay focused. What I have noticed is that when I Plan things ahead of time things are in control of your time rather than time controlling you. Hence try Planning your day without fail.
Mediating & Daily Gartitude - For me mediation is like peace of mind and getting back my energy. It helps me feel calm, relaxed, stress-free, and more focused. And when I add gratitude, it makes me happier by reminding me of all the good things I already have. Expressing gratitude is very important and just incase you arent doing it, I highly recommend doing it and within some days you will see the difference. Just small daily moments of thankfulness can make a big difference in our mindset. Try it out yourself and see the difference it creates in your life...
Going for a Walk - With my better half and discussing things in general always feels refreshing. Its not that we have planned something it is all the random talks about work, kids, life in general, relatives and how we envision our future. At times discussion leads to some ideas that we would like to puruse. One example here being that we decided to buy house in Ahmedabad - which earlier we were not thinking at all and then all of sudden even walk talks around house became so common that we both aggered to buying house in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. In all what I am trying to say here is that Going for a Walk has its benefits and in my case it keeps us active but also strengthens our bond as we share thoughts and think of ways to improve things.
Conclusion - May it be small habits or a big habit, it hardly matters. What matters is that we do them consistently, because small daily actions can create a big difference over time. Consistency is the key here and small habits here means it shouldnt take much of your time to develop these habits. As simple as walking, mediating, expressing gratitude or decluttering can make a big difference. Are you with me here and do you agree with me?
