It is so interesting how we get interested about a certain topic of a coin and some others we just avoid it. I love Intaglio Mint and I will probably show some new acquisitions, including their new series with the 7 sins (the art is amazing on that, you can look for it before I post it). However, I was surprised by a local seller announcing a pre-sale of their new series of... alien races. I like sci-fi but the imagination of how aliens are in coins isn't my thing. The Ghana Alien coin is also something that I avoided until now in my stack.
So one example that a design calls on me is when it has some type of cultural and world association. This coin brings some of the Māori culture. Māori people are the indigenous Polynesian people who exist in New Zealand. But this coin is from Niue, another Island in Polynesia, and the Niueans share some ancestry with the Maori. The design of the coin can be found in many tattoos among the Māori people because it represents the Sky father and Earth mother before the separation. The separation of both allowed some light to enter the world after they had been living in darkness. Does this story seem similar to something that you have already read before?
I spent 47.50 CAD on this coin in January of this year. Wow, I miss this price! Recently, I just bought a coin for 70 CAD. It was a crazy ride for Silver. Some people believe that it will drop a little bit more since the spike in raising was crazy in the last months. Interesting about this coin that I was imagining it being minted by the Australian Mint, but in reality, it was minted by the Bullmint. That is a mint located in Bulgaria, which I have never heard of before. The design of the two deities is interesting. I am not a specialist in Maori culture, but it looks very traditional.
This 1oz of silver was a great buy, in a great time. The coin is also nice, despite having the ugly king on the other side. And so sorry, Intaglio Mint, I will skip this new series. But still I continue their fan, I bought last week during a live one coin from their bug series, my first one. I saw some friends from the SGS community sharing some of these coins and somehow I missed the chance to buy them until now, hehe. Keep stacking, guys.

Adoro a Intaglio Mint e provavelmente mostrarei algumas novas aquisições, incluindo a nova série com os 7 pecados capitais (a arte é incrível, vocês podem conferir antes que eu publique). No entanto, fiquei surpreso com um vendedor local anunciando a pré-venda da nova série deles sobre... raças alienígenas. Gosto de ficção científica, mas a ideia de alienígenas em moedas não me agrada. A moeda do alienígena de Gana também é algo que evitei até agora na minha coleção.
Um exemplo de design que me inspira é quando ele possui algum tipo de associação cultural ou mundial. Esta moeda traz um pouco da cultura Māori. O povo Māori é o povo indígena polinésio que vive na Nova Zelândia. Mas esta moeda é de Niue, outra ilha da Polinésia, e os niueanos compartilham alguma ancestralidade com os Māori. O desenho da moeda pode ser encontrado em muitas tatuagens entre o povo Māori, pois representa o Pai Céu e a Mãe Terra antes da separação. A separação de ambos permitiu que um pouco de luz entrasse no mundo depois de terem vivido na escuridão. Esta história parece semelhante a algo que você já leu antes?

O interessante sobre esta moeda é que eu imaginava que ela tivesse sido cunhada pela Casa da Moeda Australiana, mas, na realidade, foi cunhada pela Bullmint. A moeda também é bonita, apesar de ter o rei feio do outro lado. E, desculpe, Intaglio Mint, vou pular esta nova série. Mas continuo sendo fã deles; comprei uma moeda da série de insetos na semana passada durante uma live, a minha primeira. Vi alguns amigos da comunidade SGS compartilhando algumas dessas moedas e, de alguma forma, perdi a chance de comprá-las até agora, hehe. Continuem colecionando, pessoal.
