Arcade, Spain.

Hello, world mappers,

A couple of days ago, I stayed in the town of Arcade in the northwest part of Spain. It was my first stop after I came out of Portugal. I saw online that there was a nice camper spot next to the water of the bay of Ria de Vigo. It looks like a very big lake, but it is connected to the atlantic Ocean.

As you can see, it was very cloudy this day. It looked very moody. Nice weather to take a walk around the harbour. It was not a big harbour, but there were many boats in there. There were also a lot of these nice old fishing boats. So cute.

Frome the end of the harbour pier, you had a view over the town and the camper parking. Do you see my blue van there somewhere?

After this little walk, I decided to walk a little further into the town. I had now idead what this town had to offer. So I wanted to investigate it.

The views on to the village were pretty promising. All those little houses built against the mountain.

But that was also more of the highlight of the town.

There were a couple of nice old buildings but the rest of the walk I didn't take any pictures of the buidings.

The train station said it all. It really felt desolate.

Like this street art, they tried to make something out of it, but they did not really succeed.

After a while, I came across this statue. Probably the oyster and pearl business is a thing here. I can imagine that with the location next to the ocean.

The things that stood out here to me were all the people who were walking around here. They looked like camino walkers to me. Complete with big backpacks and walking sticks, they really stood out here. After a while, I saw where they were heading.

I am not sure how this works, but probably, this town was a big resting place of the camino to santiago de Compostella.

This looked like a Camino station or something. It was clear that a lot of people starded out here, and after this "camino station," there was a beautiful old bridge where all the walkers were taking pictures of them selfs.

I walked down to the water again to head back to my van. They made a nice walking path along this part of the river. Many locals were walking there, doggys here.

And these are three bridges from the highway and a train track.

And back to the van. As you can see in the back, I had a nice view over the water. So, it was not that special place to visit but still, if you are around there, got take a walk along the water. And maybe at the other end, it is even more beautiful.
