Buenos días a todos!

Después de tantísimo tiempo sin publicar nada, el día de hoy quiero mostrarles un hermoso detalle que me regaló mi papá ; y es que él es escultor; muchas de las estatuas que adornan las plazas no sólo de donde vivo sino además de otras ciudades y países han sido hechas por él.

Tal vez por eso, siempre ha querido inculcarnos a todos sus hijos la idea de querer modelar piezas realistas en arcilla, pero ninguno de nosotros (lamentablemente), heredó su gran talento.

La semana pasada, nos compró estas hermosas plastilinas de colores fosforescentes; vienen en un pequeño pote con tapa en forma de rosa y trae no sólo tantas variedades en colores sino además, unos hermosos moldes que parecen corta galletas; en mi caso, (como pueden ver), son una manzana y un conejo, aunque a mi gemela le dio uno que traía una forma de galleta de gengibre y una pera.

Por otra parte, traía también una especie de inyectadora o jeringa intuyo para distribuir mejor el material y no malgastarlo.

Desearía poder modelar preciosas y realistas esculturas pero a pesar de no hacerlo, me divertiré mucho haciendo en especial, figuritas de comida, tal como solía hacer con mi hermana de pequeña y muy probablemente se los enseñe en otro post.

Good morning, everyone!

After such a long time without posting anything, today I want to show you a beautiful gift my dad gave me; he is a sculptor. Many of the statues that adorn squares, not only where I live but also in other cities and countries, have been made by him. Maybe that’s why he always wanted to instill in us, his children, the idea of wanting to model realistic pieces in clay, but unfortunately none of us inherited his great talent.

Last week, he bought us these beautiful fluorescent-colored modeling clays; they come in a small pot with a lid shaped like a rose and they bring not only many color varieties but also some beautiful molds that look like cookie cutters; in fact, (as you can see), they are an apple and a rabbit, although my twin sister got one with a gingerbread cookie shape and a pear. It also came with a sort of injector or syringe, I guess, to distribute the material more evenly and not waste it.

I would love to be able to model precious and realistic sculptures, but even if I don’t, I’ll have a lot of fun making, especially, little food figurines, just like I used to do with my little sister, and I’ll probably show you them in another post.
