In Bangladesh, we never run out of any drugs. If we don't find a drug/medicine at one pharmacy, we will definitely get it from another. But, in Oman, we see a kind of different picture. Often, we see that some important drugs, even particular antibiotics, are not found for a long time! Sometimes, tools for examining a patient, e.g. tongue depressor, run out of whole Oman!
For examining the throats of patients, kids, or adults, I often use a tongue depressor. The kids often can't follow the command. So, we need to hold the kid tight and press the tongue down to see the throat clearly. Some adults' tongues are too big to see the throat. We need a tongue depressor to visualize the throat clearly! So far, sterile tongue depressors have been provided until now. The given tongue depressors are almost finished. When I asked for a new box, I was told that the clinic is not getting the supply! It is out of supply in the whole of Oman.
Another important allergy injection is Diprofos! We have been out of it for the last 4-5 months. It has many uses, and we have some regular customers (patients) for these injections. We don't know when the next batch will be available in Oman. Previously, it happened with other medicines also. One of the antibiotic injections is Augmentin. In between, it was out of stock for several months.

Tuesday was quite a busy day for me at work. I consulted 40 patients in my chamber. Most of them came in the evening, the usual rush hour for us! I examined some people who came for the fitness test.
After lunch, I could walk on the treadmill for 15 minutes. After 9 pm, we went to a shopping center to buy clothes for the younger member of our family. At the end, I was able to make 12,824 steps on Tuesday (According to the Fitbit app)!
