"Kapalo Banda" customary festival was held once in three years, all traditional leaders attended the event such as Datuak (Tribal Leaders), Dubalang, Parik Nagari (Village Guard), Cadiak Pandai (Wise Men), Alim Ulama (Religious Leaders) and Bundo Kanduang (Woman Elder). the two photos I share in this post are two of the traditional leaders mentioned earlier. the first photograph is Parik Paga Nagari (Village Guard), their duty to maintain the security and tranquility of Village, they have traditional martial arts of Silek Tuo or wellknown in Silat.
Following photograph is an Cadiak Pandai. the duty, give opinions and considerations to him in various problems in the Village.
