In regards to my recent findings about communities, I found this. Hello, my friends. Here will be my first and foremost post in the CineTV community. After going through the entire community warnings, posts and all, I see movie review as something which I can give a trial.
Last night, I watched a movie titled Four Can Play. This is a Yoruba Nigerian movie which revolves around three female friend who all dated a young man at the same time. It’s a movie acted in Yoruba language but is subtitled in English language which a wider range of people can understand.
The Plot
Four can play tells the story of three ladies, Motilola, Yomife and Eyitayo in the early and middle thirties. They were unmarried and had no romantic relationship whatsoever. After finding out that their reason of being single is due to not going out to meet different set of people, they set a timetable and started to go on a date.
On their first gate, Motilola sighted a cute, fair guy named Ayomi and told her friends about him. Luckily, the young guy came to approach them but he liked Yomife and not the Motilola who sighted him at first. Things turned around and Yomife never liked him because he wasn’t her spec.
After several trials to date Yomife which didn’t work, he wooed Eyitayo and she accepted. They began their love story and it caused a huge disagreement between the girls. Motilola who was seen as the saint then went back to start dating Ayomi, the same guy who has been the reason for their fights. At last, they found out that all of them were being jilted by Ayomi and they punished him severely.
This may be an ordinary movie but it shows and tell what happens in our society. Just a few minutes ago, I read that one out of four adults will remain single forever. I’m finding it hard to believe but at the same time, it may be true. There are so many ladies and young men out there who are single to stupor and some are even at their forties.
I liked how the three girls set their timetable and picked where they will be visiting daily. This can be so true. People now meet their life partners at the gym, restaurants and even clubs.
The aspect of girl code is highly potrayed in this movie. Without anyone telling you as a lady, you should know you aren’t meant to date anyone who has asked your friend out. Even if you do, let there be an agreement between you two and make sure that she’s willing to let you do that. But this time, it happened to the three of them.

My favorite scene is when Motilola, the third lady went to meet the same guy who has been causing a rift between her two friends. From there, I knew a disaster was about to happen. How much will they fight when the two other girls discover what just happened?
Sadly, he made love to all the girls. They were in love but he wasn’t in love with any of them.
But, you myst be wondering what ended the movie. It’s a movie of over two hours and I know it will be worth your watch. I don’t know if I can rate but if yes, it deserves 8/10.
