The thief on the cross is a true evidence that once you repent from all your sins, God is ready to accept you fully as His child, servant and worshipper. That’s what happened to one of the two people who were nailed on the cross alongside Jesus Christ.
Luke 23:43 tells us that; “And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.”
This is what Jesus said to the thief on the cross before His death. Do you know why Jesus Christ decided to accommodate the thief in Heaven? It’s because the thief on the cross immediately repented. He was real, true and sincere. That’s why Jesus Christ accommodated him in heaven.
The thief on the cross hadn’t met Jesus Christ before nor heard about Him and that’s why he continued to be a thief. There was no one to tell him that what he was doing is either good or bad.
But this is a different case for us. It’s a different case because we have heard about Jesus Christ, we have heard the testimonies of people, we have seen miracles that truly and really happen on earth and that’s why we should repent.
It is not too late to repent and God is always there to accept us back. The situation of the thief on the cross is totally different from our and that’s why we have to follow the ways of Christ.
