Visiting the Neues Rathaus in Hanover
Returning once again to the city of Hanover to learn a little more about it. It was time to visit the Neues Rathaus, the city hall, which was rebuilt in 1913.
It looks like a castle and is really beautiful. Although it is undergoing maintenance, you can go inside and enjoy a panoramic view of the city.
Inside, four models of the city tell its history. I was struck by the 1945 model, which shows the city completely destroyed by World War II bombing.
Despite this sad history, the city was obviously rebuilt, and this city hall was also part of that reconstruction. There is also elevator access to the dome, where, as I mentioned before, you can enjoy a 360ยฐ view of the entire city.
Outside the city hall, there is also a garden and a lake where you can walk and take excellent photos.
If you like historic buildings, I recommend visiting this place and not missing out on the view.
Hope you enjoyed this short tour at the Hannover Rathaus, see you next time!
