Dropout.tv The Nicest Streaming Service Anywhere

I have written about Dropout.tv a few times. Usually it is about a show my daughter and I love to watch together. I go on and on about how funny and clever it is. Sometimes I mention its heart. But to be quite honest, I've been burying the lede.

Sam (and his heart) have been here the whole time!

The heart shown on Dropout.tv really is the main draw. I have never seen any for-profit enterprise where the people working there love each other and their boss so much. If you need proof, check out the Game Changer episode titled "Who wants to be Jacob Wysocki?". The entire premise of the episode was to boost the spirits of one of Dropout.tv's cast members: Jacob Wysoki. They made the "game show" all about him. They brought on his friends and asked questions about him in a "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" style. In the end, it was an excuse to give him $100,000. Why? Because he needed it? Were other cast members complaining they didn't get a show like this? No. Do you know why? They didn't need it. But I guarantee you if they did, their boss and host of the show, Sam Reich, would have done it for them.

And that is the definition of "FAIR". "Fair" does not mean everyone gets the same thing. It means everyone gets what they need. I tell that to my students all the time. When one of them scoffs at this idea, I simply say, 'If one of you needed CPR to save your life, would I need to give all of you CPR too?" That immediately makes them understand. And just to top it off I tell them, "And I promise, if you needed it, I would give it to you." That is fair. Jacob needed it. So his boss Sam gave it to him.

I honestly can't imagine a better boss than Sam Reich. It seems he has made it his life's goal to give talented and Good people a place to shine. He does not allow hate on his streaming service. He only allows love, acceptance, and hilarity. Be funny without being mean. That's a pretty great goal.

Clearly his employees love him and his goal. If oyu need evidence, just check out the surprise Game Changer season finale "Samalamadingdong". I honestly can't say much without ruining it, but I can tell you I have never been happier while watching a television show. They used this 45 minutes to take Sam down a walk down memory lane of some of the funniest thing he has done as the host, creator and writer of Game Changers.

All of his cast show up to show him some love. And like everything on Dropout.tv, the result is filled with love and a ton of laughs.

Could you imagine if the past contestants of Jeopardy came back to do a tribute to Alex Trebec? Could you imagine spending months and months planning a surprise for your own boss? I love my boss... but I'm not spending months planning a way to tell her that. A simple card and periodic thank yous will do the trick. But my boss has not put her own money on the line to ensure each of us gets what they need. She has not provided a platform for all of us to become "famous and popular".

Sam Reich is awesome!
