Our firstborn, Levi has turned 10 today! We celebrated his first 2-digit birthday. Just like that, 9 years have passed with this amazing boy!
We had a small celebration in church with his church friends. He asked me to prepare some of his favorite food like potatoes, chips, watermelon.
I offered to get him a birthday cake that he may like but he is still adamant about his brownies baking, which he does almost every year (skipped 2 years) since we first did it when he was 3 years old, baking his own birthday cake. I suggested an upgrade this year to brookies, which he happily took the suggestion. So he was in charge of the cookie dough while Micah was in charge of the brownies dough. Finally, both assembled the brookie together! Levi can now guide Micah in the mixing of the batter now.
Levi Thaddeus... He is the first child whom I mother solely 9 years ago, before the other younger 2 came into the picture so I always feel we have a very special bond especially in the first 4 years of his life, when we had a lot of one-to-one time. I remember he speaks the most comforting words, even when I don'texpect them. He is an understanding person with a sensitive heart. That time, I always felt he "should be" my youngest child because of how he manja me. But God knows him even better and knows he has the potential to be a big brother. His protective nature grew when his younger siblings came along. He naturally just looks out for them and he really helped me a lot when I only have 1 pair of eyes. He can hear the slightest cry of his sister when no one else can hear. We really appreciate and love Levi a lot. Not because of what he can offer, but who he is. We are very proud of who he has become.
Thank you to all the friends and family who love him and celebrated him with us too!
This afternoon, his daddy and Micah prayed for him. Tonight, he asked me to pray a prayer for him.
