Haven't written a post in a while as life was very hectic on my end, juggling a teaching job, 3 children's schedule and timing, 2 children's schoolwork and tests as well as a cooking routine.
Honestly I was running on overdrive everyday until I felt suffocated and sometimes hard to breathe.
Until an expected breather came...
I was desperately craving for a walk on my birthday. Maybe just to release some stress or even just to get out of the house after my 3 children had been so sick. I was also very sleep deprived so my mood was extremely low on my birthday.
Friends sent me some food for lunch and snacks. I knew I had a schedule to abide by but I remember I am entitled for a free scoop of ice cream so that was my motivation to get out of the house.
I wanted to bring the whole family because I was initially feeling bad if I go out on my own. Wanted to let them also experience some outdoors at the park.
Then it poured. Heavily. So I guess the park plan had to be cancelled.
The husband still asked me to go ahead. So I thought maybe I could park near the park and then walk through the park to my eating place and then walk back again to get the ice cream, even with umbrella.
I got stucked for 40 minutes in an unexpected traffic jam but I managed to park at the park's parking. The tain had also stopped by then so I could walk in the park for a while. I saw many park goers still were jogging and walking as well. It was my first time going to the park at night.
It was very tranquil. It's calmer than how it usually is during the day.
Not knowing what to have for dinner, my sister-in-law suggested I could go for the snail noodles which csn be quite an acquired taste and smell not preferred by everyone. Since I was all alone, I could just go for my favorite noodle.
THAT WAS A BRILLIANT IDEA!
I ordered my usual noodles and added on a dessert which has coconut milk, fresh fruits like grapes and dragon fruit in it! It was surprisingly refreshing!
I finished up my dinner and noticed that this area was actually very happening in the night. I have never been to that eating area at night. Many youngsters and students love to patronize that area but I suddenly felt a bit old or rather not prefer to be in such a place now. I would happily choose a quieter place.
Nevertheless I still enjoyed my walk in the park alone and then made my way to the ice-cream shop.
Upon arrival, I was actually too stuffed to have some more ice cream but I was thinking since it is free, and it may be so difficult for me to arrange again for myself to be excused from home, I might as well just go for it.
I chose this mint chocolate flavour which is my favourite. Some people think this is similar to eating toothpast but I beg to defer hahaha.
So I sat there and finished my ice cream while checking the time because the boys were still schooling the next day so I should not be home too late.
