Oh it is #wednesdaywalk again, an initiative by @tattoodjay! He lets us share our walks all over the world so others get to "participate" in them!
Okay today was actually a usual Wednesday for me except that I have some extra errands like going to the pharmacy to replenish cough syrup or expectorant to help my boys dissolve their phlegm. We have finished 2 bottles of those we had at home yet they are still recovering. So after dropping the firstborn to his class, I went to the first pharmacy.
This row of shops in my neighbourhood has 3 pharmacies altogether. I usually go to the first as it offers items at a lower price and it is the biggest among all 3 here. Coinincidentally its name is called Big Pharmacy hahaha. They ran out of a non-drowsy expectorant which I need for the firstborn who is still going to school. However I bought an antihistamine syrup to stop the mucus generation and allergic flu reaction as well as some dried plums for myself. Sometimes I eat these to pass time and I kind of like them. I have tried one of these before and went back to get more after the one I had finished.
So I went to the 2nd Pharmacy - Health Lane.
I also come here quite a bit because members get their items at a lower price. However the problem today was all the pharmacists there were so occupied. Some customers went in for blood test check, some needed equipment recommendations. I did not want to wait so I left.
On I went to the 3rd pharmacy - Caring Pharmacy.
I seldom come to this pharmacy because among all 3, this pharmacy charges the highest even for the same item and I am not a member there too. However, as I was enquiring about the cough syrup, I noticed the antihistamine syrup that my son used to take is available here after it went out of stock for so long! I could not believe I was actually so happy about it and it is the cheapest among all those I have bought. So I happily grab that as a standby for home use.
Walking By 7 Cafe by 7-11
7-11 was just next to this pharmacy and I suddenly remember my friend told me about them selling the Niko Neko Matcha Soft Serve ice-cream. Nike Neko is a local brand selling premium matcha powder which I used to use for baking and it is quite well known. So I decided to go in for a try since I was not rushing for something else and did not have my secondborn in tow with me. Surprisingly there was another flavour, Yuzu available too. I just added for the normal Matcha flavoured one actually which is RM3 (less than 1 USD). However the staff in her attempt to try to operate the ice cream machine could not generate out just Matcha flavour. She asked if I mind to have a mix of both flavours instead. Of course I did not mind. Then to my astonishment, the ice cream she did was so tall.
So I enjoyed this ice cream in the car after my walk here and there. What a satisfying and happy reward! To be honest, this may sound like the weirdest combination but it tasted not bad!!!
