Hello my #beer friends! Another round of #beersaturday challenge and some music to go along ๐ป
Today I have another special Italian craft beer for you
Toccalmatto is an independent artisan brewery born in Fidenza in 2008. They offer three different beers, all refermented in the bottle.
This one is called Zona Cesarini, it's an Italian expression used mainly in football and it refers to the last minutes of a game. It comes from Juventus player Renato Cesarini when he scored a last-minute goal in a match. It's an expression used whenever referring to a last-minute solution that solves a problem. This name is really appropriate for that night because I was going to see Franz Ferdinand live but the concert got canceled because of really REALLY bad weather conditions. And I knew about it in zona Cesarini, when I was already arrived at the parking lot from a guy of the staff ๐
Anyway... Amber and cloudy color; compact but light head; fruity and fresh aroma. A very light beer with a slightly fruity flavor and a strong hoppy aftertaste that comes in later and is quite persistent. However, the beer is very easy to drink, in fact it doesn't leave the typical bitter taste in the mouth for too long.
A classic club sandwich. I don't know if the name club sandwich is used around the world as well.
Bonus rant: this is an Italian espresso. I always order a long espresso because I like to have a longer drink. I HATE SO MUCH when they bring me a normal espresso instead. Actually this is almost a short one ๐ค
POPPY + AMY LEE + COURTNEY LAPLANTE - END OF YOU

About the music, some days ago we attended an amazing collaboration in the metal world. Eclectic pop/metal/whateveryouwant artist Poppy wrote this song thinking about featuring Evanescence's singer Amy Lee. They then proceeded to call Spiritbox singer Courtney LaPlante to sing her powerful screams in the breakdown.
For what I know, this is a song about female emancipation and freeing yourself from the influence of bad people around you. It's a pretty straight forward song, it's got the typical metal-Poppy soundscape, basically a mainstream modern metal approach.
I had a lot of hype about this song, we had some teasers all around Instagram and Tiktok coming from the three artists involved and everybody was hyped as fuck! But... the song actually turned out to be pretty commercial, nothing so special. It's a really good song, don't misunderstand me, but it could have been way more interesting.
And that's all for this week, my friends. Cheers to beer and music together ๐ป
