“When I was young, I admired clever people. Now that I am old, I admire kind people.” —Abraham Joshua Heschel
Good day everyone! Today I wanted to share a story with you. This is about Lady Abegail Abrao, the sister of my friend Lovebern Faith. I never had a chance to meet Abegail in person. I just know her is that she is my lovebern sister. But based on the post of her and her family, Abegail is the kindest and genuine person,I hope I could meet.
Last year, Abigail and her family have been facing a difficult challenge. She was diagnosed with EWING’s SARCOMA / BONE OR SOFT TISSUE CANCER in its advanced stage.
Here's a brief overview of her treatment plan:
•Induction Chemotherapy: Abegail has started the first of her 6 sessions of induction chemotherapy, with sessions scheduled every two weeks. This phase will last almost three months.
•Surgery: Following the induction chemotherapy, she will need surgery.
•Consolidation Chemotherapy: After surgery, she will need eight sessions of consolidation chemotherapy.
• Radiation Therapy: The need for radiation therapy will be determined based on her progress during chemotherapy.
I was not sure whether to share this here, but I had this feeling that I have to do something and to reach out for support. Abegail is not only a loved one but also a pillar of strength and positivity. While prayers are powerful, the financial burden of her treatment is a concern in the real world.
I always use to help other in any way that I can do but I was also financially uncapable due to my father medication.
