Hey guys, happy Wednesday 🌞. Today I’m bringing you one of those drinks that, once you discover it, it becomes part of your routine (I’m pretty sure you’re going to love it—especially if you’re one of those people who’s always looking for original ways to stay refreshed without falling back on the same old juices). Because yes, even if it sounds strange, lemonade can go way beyond the classic lemon + water + sugar combo. This one I’m about to show you is not only a burst of flavor, but it’s also packed with benefits that will make you feel good inside and out. And the best part? It’s so easy to make that I’m sure it’ll turn into one of those recipes you’ll repeat without even thinking twice—especially when it’s super hot outside or when you need something lighter than water to pair with a hearty lunch. 🥤 Ingredients (makes 2 to 4 servings) •600 ml water (cold or room temp, your choice) •2 medium juicy lemons •1 sweet, juicy orange •1 medium carrot (yep, carrot!) •1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric •2–6 tablespoons refined sugar (to taste) Fun fact: turmeric doesn’t just add color and flavor, it also has anti-inflammatory and digestive properties—so it’s a small, colorful ingredient that packs a powerful punch. 💛 🥕 Preparation 1.Peel and chop the carrot into halves or small pieces to make it easier to blend. ||| -|- 2.Cut the lemons, remove the seeds and the white core (this keeps it from tasting bitter). 3.Squeeze the orange juice and set it aside in a separate container. 4.In the blender, add the carrot pieces, lemons, sugar (start with 2 tablespoons and adjust later), turmeric and… blend away! But wait—first pour in just part of the water (about 200 ml) to help the mixture combine. |||| -|-|- 5.Once everything is blended, add the orange juice you set aside and blend for a few more seconds. ||| -|- 6.Here comes the key trick: strain the mixture without pressing the pulp too much (this way you avoid that bitter taste that can ruin everything). 7.Add the rest of the water and stir gently with a spoon or wooden spatula. And that’s it! Serve with plenty of ice. I used glass cups (because hey, presentation also matters for drinks 😄). Why do I love this lemonade? One of the things I like most about this recipe is that it looks fancy, but it’s actually super homemade. The carrot gives it a natural sweet touch and a gorgeous orange color, the turmeric adds that spiced, mysterious flavor, and the lemon-orange combo makes it a balanced citrus drink with real character (not to mention all the health benefits in these ingredients). ✨ 🍝 What to pair it with? In my case, I paired it with baked pasta loaded with cheese and homemade sauce. The contrast between the hot dish and the refreshing lemonade was on another level. 😍 But I can also imagine it alongside a grain salad, a stuffed arepa, or even as the star drink at a Sunday brunch—because it’s got that “something special” that makes it stand out. So if you’ve got guests coming over and you want to surprise them with something different (without having to whip up a cocktail), this lemonade is perfect. It’s alcohol-free, pretty, refreshing, healthy, and nobody will expect that unique flavor that comes from mixing carrot, citrus, and turmeric. 🥂 Would you give it a try? Tell me if you’d add another special twist. For example, I was thinking ginger or maybe just a pinch of pink salt… would you dare?
