Five minutes Freewrite Day 2827: Reject It

Her preaching sounded like a clumsy mix of incoherent dogma, pieced together from different religions to serve her own agenda.

When things didn't make sense and questions arose, she would simply use her seniority to shut them down with her don't question me attitude.

Her seniority was a special privilege she used to bully her way through.

Anything she wanted to control, she would insist was a divine message, often acting like a cult dictator by demanding, Thou shalt do this, thou shalt do that.

This incessant proselytizing worsened when Rikka crossed the line and targeted Mio's colleagues at their workplace, a business that Mio owned.

Rikka took advantage of her position as both a client and the mother of Mio's boyfriend, placing Mio in an impossible position.

Mio had to pacify her colleagues' discomfort and complaints while being unable to directly confront Rikka. Her sense of entitlement meant she would feel offended if Mio ever told her that her actions were offensive, no matter how that message was delivered.

She wanted to tell her colleagues to reject it, or if Rikka persisted, to simply discard them after she left.

She couldn't, her colleagues may misinterpret things, which would lead to gossip that would inevitably make its way back to Rikka.

Instead, Mio let her colleagues handle it themselves. She was relieved when they eventually discarded the materials, as she hadn't been the one to do it.
