Greetings!
This was not the Halloween I had planned. I was nowhere near where I am aching to be. The place where my mind and heart lives. That, however, was not going to change the fact that I had already decided to dress up and celebrate. Nothing was going to stop me from doing something at least, even if it involve a surprising amount of tears and injuries. I never knew inflating balloons could be so dangerous...😅
Of course, all the decorations had to be child friendly too, this celebration was mostly for my daughter too. It was her first Halloween where she got to celebrate. (Usually it is just me and the moon celebrating)
I did not have much of a budget for or access to any decent decorations, not locally at least, but I will shut up about that before I start grumbling about Christmas decorations being up in shops before Halloween...
...The lack of proper decorations gave me every excuse to go DIY and crafting mad all over the place. Everything is very basic, cheap and simple, but I had fun and the little one loved it, and the surprise treasure hunt for sweets that I had planned for her.
A very easy setup for the entrance, mostly things I already had, with some bits of ash and the very fun to make diy table runner. I am very tempted to just have this be my decor all year...
Of course, it would not be complete without a bunch of bats (took ages to cut out and stick to the wall) and a very comfortable cat!
This is Fred....I am very tempted to find a way to use him as a permanent fixture, for holding my paintbrushes and pens.
Random thing I made...kind of like it...
....next year, heads and long legs will be added...because who doesn't love hairy legged balloon spiders?
These were so much fun to make. A lot of cut fingers happened, but it was worth it.

I made a bunch of these, mainly because playing with the fake blood mixture I made was so much fun...I had to wash ALOT of red off after..
...washing the red off gave me this idea. Sometimes you just need some time alone and a blood coloured wine bath with loads of bubbles and gold glitter.
I also spent some time lurking around Ramfest, which was pretty fun. The Big wings really helped with my personal space issues too. 😂
All in all, a lot has happened. Time to start a new chapter.
