Greetings friends
Another overcast morning. There is a certain type of melancholy quietness to days like these, something about it has me stuck somewhere between being wildly creative and deeply introspective. It is somewhere between all that thinking and feeling and the urge to somehow express it all that the art usually happens. Creating a thing is easier than coming up with the words to just explain it after all as writing is a talent I very much lack.
Hopefully listing all the current projects here will help me actually finish them.
My phone case was looking a bit worse for wear, too many stains from handling it with ink covered fingers. It did give me the opportunity to try out some craziness with craft paint and gold dust. Once done I am hoping it'll look pretty cool. Still a ways to go on this one though.
It was also time to repaint my clipboard. I had some help. Somehow this crazy colourful look is exactly what I wanted.
The crochet obsession continues too. I am currently messing around with designs and ideas for crochet clothing as part of a bigger project. I will be creating my own pattern for the finished project so lots of practice and planning is needed in order to get the more interesting parts to work.
I am also still making keychains and have a growing list of ideas for those.
The beginnings of a macrame project. These straps will either become a full macrame vest/top, part of a crochet top or if I can find the materials needed and feel up to it, they will be used for a full length dress. I might post design ideas and create the most popular one. There are too many options.
One of my most recent unfinished drawings. I am enjoying drawing it more than I usually do. Once I figure out how to add the final details, this one should be done pretty quickly. I am hoping to post it tomorrow, if all goes well.
I have been messing with this a little bit at a time for a while now. I both hate and like it. The aim with this drawing is to improve my use of shading and a few other little techniques. It is kind of ugly and I feel that the feeling of regret and pain I am trying to convey with it needs to be more intense. This drawing needs to be utterly miserable, but well done and definitely not pretty.
There are a few other drawings, fashion illustrations and projects still in need of drawing or crafting, but I am going to attempt to finish at least half of the current batch before starting more things. Halloween also needs planning. On top of it all I cannot stop thinking of something that was once said to me;
"I have made you a cup of tea, you'd better get home before it goes cold."
I know that this isn't a unique expression, but today...I really wish I could finally have that cup of tea in this lifetime still.
