Greetings Friends
For the first time in a long time, I truly enjoyed creating something. This was never planned as a full drawing but took on a life of its own, as they sometimes do.
If I had planned on it becoming what it eventually did, I would have put more effort into the round part, as that is the only part of this drawing I do not like much. Perfection is overrated though.
The black and white version. I like this one too, but decided to keep going as this was just too much fun to draw, it had that 'getting lost in the details for hours' thing.
Messy gold details. I will not be buying this kind of gold marker again as it dries out very quickly and is nowhere near as vibrant as what I would like. Even though I have not had the opportunity to test them yet, I suspect the chrome markers would be best suited to a lot of what I do. Gold cake decorating dust gives okay results but leaves a messy halo of sparkles around everything, cool but not the cleaner look I wanted.
A little bit more messing around and some colour. I wanted to keep going but any more would just ruin it. Guess it is time to start or finish the next one.
